Miss J Went from Behind the Camera to Owning the Spotlight—and Herself
Miss J is no stranger to the camera—usually behind it, capturing others in their moments of smiles and family. But this time? It was her turn.
“I looked into so many photographers,” she shared, “but the vibe at Boudoir by Chaos? That’s what did it. There was never any pressure to be anything but myself. One day I just said, ‘Fuck it, I’m only gonna be in this body once.’”
As a photographer, letting go of control was a big step. “It wasn’t even about getting naked—that was the easy part with y’all hyping me up,” she said. “It was scarier to trust someone else to capture me… especially since I’ve never liked my face’s symmetry or my skin.”
But Miss J took her own advice: “I tell people all the time ‘don’t stress, that’s my job.’ So I had to follow my own damn advice for once.”
And once she did?
“When I left, not a single soul on this earth could have broken my ego.”
During her session, she found herself pushing creative and emotional boundaries. “I never thought I’d be the girl doing a leash pose—but it sparked something in me. I found curiosity and confidence I didn’t know I had.”
Her favorite outfit? A red strappy piece she normally wouldn’t have picked, but that made her feel like an absolute badass. “And that rhinestone bodysuit from the closet? Yeah, I was in love.”
Miss J left that day feeling something she’d never associated with herself before: softness and sexiness. “I’ve got sharp features and a resting bitch face. But between the poses and the hype, I saw myself as feminine and powerful.”
To anyone who’s been waiting for the “right” moment to book their own shoot, she says:
“Just. Do. It.
You don’t have to wait to lose or gain weight. Or for your skin to clear. Or for the self-doubt to go away.
This is about you—flaws, favorites, and all.”
Miss J came to Chaos for the vibe—and left with a whole new lens on herself.
